Impact Investing Initiative
For decades, capital has been allocated by investors based on risk and return perspectives. Only recently, based on significant environmental and social challenges, the sustainability perspective was added to the equation. This development motivated me to give up an investment banking career and focus on the E (environmental), S (social) and G (governance) aspects of investing. I am confident that sustainability investing is here to stay and that soon every investment will be assessed by its impact together with its risk/return characteristics.
Based on many years of experience in corporate finance and impact investing my aim is to establish a framework that helps to bridge the financing gap between investors and purpose-oriented companies. Thus, the Impact Investing Initiative will contribute to the transition of the current economic system to a more inclusive and sustainable one.
